Service Dog Resource Guide

My daughter had to work through this while on active duty with the Air Force to get a service dog. At the time, it was a crap-shoot and that's being kind. You had to find the information yourself + wade through misinformation/outdated info because no one had it all in a single list.

Unfortunately, we have had to do this three times as of 2024. Life happens - dogs get diseases, there's something the trainer didn't catch which makes them unable to be a service dog after you've had them for a bit - when its triggered, there is a random untrained neighborhood dog who attacks your service dog, etc...

Many things can happen and you'll need to go back through this list.

This is why we created the resource guide and share it.

The process of trying to find organizations and information can be overwhelming and seem hopeless when your in a situation where you need one right now. Add in a situation where your grieving, its devastating. We've been there. Grab this and at least have a strong starting point & know what your dealing with so you can make informed decisions that meet your needs much better.

Who exactly is this for?
Military members, Veterans, or their family members who need a Service Dog. Unfortunately, this guide will not be useful to anyone else.
Why is this free?
It's free because it should already be out there for us. As a Veteran myself, with a network of friends and family who are also Veterans and Active Duty Military, there's enough craziness to deal with. We need to help each other out when we can.

When you need a Service Dog there's already a lot of stress and anxiety going on in your life. Not to mention, whatever the unique situations your dealing with are on top of it. This shouldn't add to it. We already have gone through the rabbit hole of research, data validation, and asking the hard questions, why not help others with this? If you don't need this but know someone who does - pass it on.
I already have a Service Dog Resource Guide, is this for me?
I'd say yes. This will still help you. There may be other Resource Guides out there about this topic. We never did find one. If you do have one or an older edition we put out, I'd recommend you still grab this one. As we find updated information or people who've used this get new information and share it with us, we update the Resource Guide and share the latest version.
